WASHINGTON,DC (People's Bureau of Truth) - The government today announced that the US Department of Defense would be renamed to reflect the expanded mission of the organization. Pentagon spokesman Nemo Veritas explained in the daily People's Truth briefing that the new name for the organization would be the US Department of Imperialist Aggression.

"We have expanded our role in promoting world peace" explained Veritas, "We are going forth and invading countries before they attack, so Defense just no longer applies" he continued. Explaining that the United States has a God Given Right to invade countries they suspect of plotting mischief, or possessing large amounts of oil.

"American businesses have a right to operate in any country", Veritas explained, "and where I come from an oil company has the same rights as any other citizen" he added.

We must protect the American public from the kinds of high oil prices that self-seeking foreign interests might try to create. "Especially with the latest SUV models from Ford and GM getting single digit MPG ratings" Veritas added.

The Department of Imperialist Aggression will continue with the same high moral standards as before the name change, according to a press release provided by Veritas. "Only foreigners will be bombed" the press release states.
